When we checked into our room we immediately realized we'd made a mistake booking our stay here. We could hear the room beside us and above us clear as day, every word of their conversation. Even when they'd take just a step we thought someone was at our door because the creek went throughout the whole cabin. We thought maybe the food would make up for it but the food was about the equivalent to McDonalds if that and most items on the menu weren't available. Over $100 for two meals. We sat waiting and finally had to ask the waiter if we could order and he told us we had to get our own menu's and order up by him. He either stood doing nothing or gossiped with his coworker about how they both hate their job. We tried to get a different cabin available that would hopefully have been more private but they told us we would have to pay full price for the room we were already in as well as full price for the room they said was available. Not in the slightest did they try to help us or ask us how they could help make our stay better. Around 10pm the water turned off so we couldn't get ready for bed. We checked out the next morning, even though we were booked to stay three nights. We'd rather lose $700 than stay there another night, and we're newlyweds. Trash under our bed, cobwebs in the corners, rips in the couch. Service was horrible. Most expensive and horrible trip I've ever been on. The location was beautiful, gorgeous view of the mountains.
The location was excellent. It was only 10 minutes away from the north entrance to the Grand Tetons. The view from the room was spectacular. You can see the valley and the Tetons off in the distance. The bed and shower was nice. The problem was for $279 a night I expected better amenities. There was no mini fridge, microwave, TV, or dresser and the room had plenty of space for each. There was no A/C but for the time of year it was not a problem. The Wi-Fi was spotty. When I brought it to the attention at the front desk they basically just shrugged their shoulders and said the further you were away from the server the worse the signal became. The toilet was in the wrong location. There was a spot right by the sink that would have been perfect but they decided to put it by the bathroom door. I believe there was an option to have a heated floor in the bathroom. I turned it on but never worked. Not a deal breaker but if they have an option for something like that it should work. The cherry on top was the window by my bed. I needed a board to keep the window open.
We really enjoyed our time at the ranch, sitting at the entrance of Teton national park. The lodge room was great fit for our needs. Take into account that the rooms aren't super clean but for us it was fine. There was a magnificent view from the main living room and the lodge and we had lots of fun. Our boys likes the horse riding and the boat ride. A fun cowboys atmosphere. I highly recommend the place.
Heart 6 Ranch, Moran Wyoming I did a one hr afternoon trail ride and my husband did the 3 hr trail ride/ dinner w/ his old college friends. There were only 2 of us on the afternoon ride which was quite enjoyable since we had a chance to interact w/ our guide. They had mounting platforms available. The scenery is beautiful and it was a nice loop ride. The evening group had so many people they were divided into groups- it took awhile to get everyone on a horse and on their way. My husband requested a vegan entree for the cookout and he got 2 bean burgers which were good .
I was so skeptical of staying here due to the reviews. Such a bummer, because the place is lovely, the staff is great, and the experience totally unique. We stayed in a wagon for three nights, and brought bedding to make sure we'd all be comfortable for the cold nights and hot days. There's plugs in there so it was all good. There's a grassy area for kids to play (we brought soccer and footballs), plus a basketball court. Bathrooms were fine. The lodge, which isn't really mentioned anywhere, was great! Nice place to escape the heat and play games and pool. We also booked a Snake River float through the ranch and it was lovely. Highlight of the trip! The views are stunning, and we heard coyotes and even a moose one morning. Kids loved the horses, goats, and kitties everywhere. We got to know horses and horse care and eagerly awaited the twice-daily running of them to and from the fields. I'd absolutely come back here! Only regret is that we didn't book horseback riding, especially the one with dinner included. The other guests were raving about it!
