Beard Outfitters/Beard Mountain Ranch

I have had the honor of hunting with and associating with Beard Mountain Outfitters. Gary and Joe Beard are very experienced in the back country. They are excellent trackers, marksmen and guides. They guide in the area they have hunted, rode and hiked in all their lives, If there are elk and deer, they will find them. Gary is very entertaining. He can tell stories all day of hunts, spills, wrecks, the ones that got away and the trophies that get bagged. He can also play guitar around the campfire. Both Joe and Gary are good camp cooks. They train their own horses to ride and pack and are cowboys in every sense of the word. The come from a family steeped in tradition of preserving the cowboy way,honoring family and country. I would highly recommend a hunt, pack trip or just a day ride with them. You will see some of the most beautiful country that covers the eastern Idaho Wyoming Border in the shadow of the Grand Tetons.

We have hunted with the Beards for nearly 15 years. They are not only excellent guides, but are our friends now! I cannot say enough about the attention to every detail throughout the hunting process and the friendliness and kindness of all the Beards. If you are thinking about a hunting trip, I can only say GO WITH THE BEARDS! On the last trip (which I couldn't make) my Dad even stayed in their home, sending me daily pics of "roughing it" from the recliner! Typically we stay on-site in the mountains, but I sure was jealous this time!
