Went here for a trail ride for my daughter's birthday today. The trails were nice, there's little direction on where to go, for different things. The staff who checked us in were very nice. The particular girl who lead our trail ride was NOT friendly. She seemed like she didn't wanna be there, and the only time she interacted with our group was to give direction, which is fine, but her tone/attitude sucked, and I feel like it really ruined the whole experience for us. We had inexperienced riders and a 10 year old with us, which she knew from the start. The new girl at the back of our group was very lovely, and talked with us, when she gave direction it was communicated way nicer! Put her at the front!

It is a beautiful place, I heard a lot of weird sounds. I thought it is haunted. It would be nice if they update the cabins with kitchens it might help as well as the pamphlet advertising the ranch - the two aren’t compatible. What is advertised is not what is there, no food, no activities. Expecting more guests unfortunately we were the only ones there. Very sad to see the decline. The lake area was not kept up and the safety jackets did not meet safety standards, ripped and torn, floatation was exposed. Boats were damaged and the oars and paddles broken. Over priced. It was so different 25 years ago. I experienced paranormal activity there definitely that place is haunted. We saw people dancing in the play area but nobody was there. Someone was talking behind our cabin we close all windows and doors at 11:00 pm a weird sound was coming from the back of the house in the middle of the forest

We had an incredible weekend at the Woodside Ranch! My mom and her family have been coming up for years (since they were kids) and they carried on the tradition with us kids through our teenage years. We haven’t been up for about 15 years and decided to resume the tradition September 2025…we are so glad we did! Such an amazing place with a fabulous crew! We came after Labor Day so there was not a lot of guests, but we had the best time!! There is a variety of cabins to choose from, and they have varying amenities (call to confirm so you can plan accordingly). We stayed in the Idlewild and it was perfect for our group…plenty of beds, 2 bathrooms, and a sitting area with mini fridge and microwave. We went to the animal feeding frenzy at 10:30 am and it was awesome! Seeing the farm and all the animals was our favorite! Anita is wonderful and got us out on the 11am trail ride which we loved! The trail horses are all so great and the staff really helps everyone to feel comfortable based on your experience level with horses. Our ranch hand for the ride shared so much great information along the way! After our ride the trading post/bar was open, so we decided to get lunch and cocktails. Chris, the bar manager, was the highlight of our trip! He was so kind and accommodating to all of us throughout the weekend. He made us food, wonderful cocktails, and visited with us as we popped in to eat/drink/listen to music and learn more about the ranch. We did the afternoon wagon ride with Garet and that was a really cool experience! It’s $20pp and you can bring drinks if you’d like. Garet was so informative along the way and shared lots of fun facts about the beautiful draft horses and the animals at the ranch. If you are thinking of checking this place out…do it!! Highly recommend! It’s a gorgeous place to get away, relax, enjoy nature and the ranch! The staff really added so much to our experience- thanks to Anita and the trail crew, Garet, and our favorite Chris we cannot wait until our next trip to Woodside Ranch!!

One of my favorite places to take my guests for a visit and trail ride. My happy place! The animals 😉 and staff treat you like family. Also if you swing into the gift shop and buy some buffalo meat you won’t be disappointed! The best burgers and tenderloins around.

My grandson and I spend 3 days here recently, excellent and friendly staff, there was always a little something to do. You can do some boating, fishing, ping pong, play pool, shoot some hoops, take a little swim. The cabin was fresh and clean. Just remember to bring some big spray!
