Food alone gives it 5 stars. Everything felt magical, staff are cool especially there dog Banjo. The drive through the driftless region was beautiful, something I didn’t expect! Can’t wait to come back again! Chocolate mint zucchini cake changed my life 🔥
Red Clover Ranch is old time hospitality with modern farm-to-table eats. This quiet ranch is the perfect place for a retreat from modern life. Put away your phone, take in the views and unwind. The cabins have comfortable beds and a/c for your comfort too. Spend some time reading in the upstairs barn on a sofa, or journaling in the screen porch after you use the sauna. Annie has also made the bathrooms a spa experience with Ursa Major skin and hair products. Chef Dani has a network of local connections for farm fresh produce and meats. She can accommodate ANY dietary needs. And in the evening, Chloe will help you choose the perfect wine and explain all about the area, the food, and share stories about her chickens. Owner Annie has created a haven. It’s pure joy to be at Red Clover Ranch.
Red Clover Ranch is exquisite. Annie and her partners have created something rare—a true soul reset. The spaces are welcoming and well curated with unique artworks and strong design personality. Dani is making magic in the kitchen with local ingredients, foraged specialties, garden plucked goods and her visionary joy for crafting a meal. Wandering the Driftless landscape is transcendent and above is the kind of sky you can write songs about. It’s a perfect place to gather and retreat. Revolutionary hospitality ladies! Thank you.
We are enamored with Red Clover Ranch. The land and acreage are very special and sacred; the accommodations are thoughtfully curated. We stayed in the bunkhouse, which was super cozy and comfortable. There are cabins adjacent to sauna and a communal screened-in living room. Annie, the owner, has been intentional with every detail. Banjo, the sweet pup, is everyone’s best bud. Danny Lynn, the resident chef, created the most flavorful farm-to-table meals. If you have an opportunity to attend a community dinner, an art event, or a retreat, I highly encourage you to be there. The ranch fosters intentional connection and community, and I look forward to my next experience!
I attended a retreat at the Red Clover Ranch in August 2023 and everything, from the morning coffee and yoga to the amazing dinners and beautifully crafted desserts, was just right. The accommodations, those beautiful, nutritious and very locally sourced meals, the hospitality, the setting, the sunsets and the new friendships I made at the retreat all made for a wonderful experience at Red Clover Ranch- and just a few hours (of a beautiful drive) from Chicago! Big kudos to Annie Coleman and her peoples on a very thoughtful and beautiful experience.
