Cedar Valley Hunt Club

What a blast! I hunted over the weekend with a few friends. Cody , Jake , Swamp and the pups put on a show. They treated us like family and made it obvious they love what they do. The cover was great considering how soft the ground has been most of the winter. The dogs put up ever bird set out and then some. After the hunt they washed my dog and brought me a yummy blue can.On top of that we had so much fun at the clubhouse and had way to much good food to choose from. If you can catch one of there game feasts you need to! So unless you you hate life? Or your name is Paul B. It hard to imagine having anything other than a good time at cedar valley. I’ll be back!!!!

Jake was an exceptional guide and his dog Cedar did a phenomenal job. Amazing to see a dog work that hard. Pheasants were moving and the hunt was good. Whatever Paul had wrote in a previous review, ignore it, guy clearly has no idea what a quality hunting club operates like. Would highly recommend and will be back regularly.

I have been coming to cedar valley hunt club for the last 3-4 years. The last 2 years we have been paired with Jake and his dog Cedar. Absolutely amazing what his dog can do and how well she listens to him. Would highly recommend requesting Jake as your guide. Very social and tries to provide equal opportunity for everyone in your group to shoot some birds. Overall would highly recommend this hunt club and Jake and Cedar as your guides. Paul who left a 1 star review must be a pretty bad shot and has about as many IQ points as birds he shot.

It’s difficult to put into words how terrible our experience was at the Cedar Valley Hunt Club. Our planter, Jake, spent exactly 2 minutes planting all 20 of our birds in a field with pathetic (if hardly any at all) cover. We requested a different field before he planted but we were told no because of laziness, the field we ended up hunting was closer to the lodge and maybe 1 acre in total. When we got to our parking spot, we immediately saw at least 3 of our birds run out of our field before we were even out of our trucks. Jake’s dad “swamp” was our guide. He gave us little to no effort, he had little control over his dog and out of the few birds we were able to get, the dog picked up over half of them before they flew. Our hunt lasted barely over an hour. We had shots at maybe 7 or 8 of the 20 birds we paid for. Terrible experience, I can’t believe I lost a day of work for this $725 “hunt.”

Great place to hunt and spend some time with friends and buddies!!
