Chewack River Guest Ranch

We stayed here few nights and were pleased with the service the owners offered. It is pretty quiet place with easy access to the trail along the river. The ranch is located 15 mins away from downtown Winthrop and we were very happy that staying away from downtown.

Had a wonderful ride last week with my son and our host was fantastic! He was very social and was willing to stop/help when a couple riders dropped their phones. The views are gorgeous up there! I highly recommend this adventure!

When we went to Winthrop, going horseback riding was my daughter's adventure request. Searching Google, I found Chewack River Guest Ranch. When I called to schedule, the lady I spoke with was very accommodating. Their website said their two-hour rides were from 4-6, but she said we could make any of them a two-hour ride. Before riding, our guide made sure the kids and I had the basics of reigning the horses and let us know any quirks about each horse. The ride itself was beautiful up into the mountains and provided some beautiful vistas, at which our guide was good to let us stop and take a look around. It was an enjoyable afternoon and the kids were all smiles.

Had an amazing time at the ranch..the tour guide was really sweet and the horses were really well trained..we took the one hour tour and enjoyed every bit..highly recommend.

Our stay was ok, but when we booked, we never received any sort of email confirmation or receipt. We did verbally confirm, however, that we were charged $50 for two horses that we intended to bring, but ultimately were unable to. The owners kindly agreed to refund the $50, both verbally and via email, however it has been several weeks and no refund has been processed. I will unfortunately need to go through my credit card to dispute.
