Wolf Ranch

Amazing experience!! The ranch is so beautiful along with the lodge you stay in. The food they provided was exceptional as well. Our guide, Michael, was excellent. Definitely a great hunt and we will be back.

TL;DR: My wife and I stayed for a three day whitetail buck and doe hunt. It was amazing and my wife shot a buck that she likely won't beat for a long time if ever. They are extremely nice, accommodating and I would absolutely recommend them to everyone who wants a low-fence whitetail hunt or to hunt for exotics. My wife and I stayed here from Jan 1-Jan 3 for a low-fence whitetail hunt for her. The folks here are extremely accommodating and the lodge is perfect. Everything about the experience exceeded our expectations. The pricing is fair, especially given the quality of the lodge, food, people and the hunting. They don't have any extra fees that you see with other hunting outfits as well. These are quality, salt of the earth people. During our stay we interacted with a few people; Michael, Kayla, Skinner and Whitni. Michael and Skinner were our guides in the blinds for the morning and evening hunts, they rotated hunts throughout our stay. Both have keen eyes for deer and have a lot of experience with scouting, hunting and processing. They were exactly what you need in a blind to guide you to deer and to take the shot. They did not add any pressure at all and made sure you were comfortable and ready to shoot when the opportunity was right on the deer that YOU want. They will make sure that the deer you're looking at is legal and they let you pick the deer you want. We were able to take a beautiful 8-point buck and a mature doe. They also made sure the doe was nice and mature so that we would be able to harvest as much meat as possible. After the shot they gave us ample time to take our own pictures to capture the moment and they took a couple of their own. They did all of the field processing and even helped us quarter the deer out so we could do the butchering at home. If you don't like to butcher yourself or don't want to they also have a great relationship with a local processor that offers a good price. They also have relationships with a taxidermist nearby and they caped out my wife's buck and helped us bring it to the taxidermist to get mounted. We cannot wait to get it back! Now for the lodge, where do you even begin. The ranch is in a beautiful location with beautiful open fields to the West, South and South East parts of the ranch. To the North side you have wooded ridges and hills that are both beautiful to look at during the day and great deer habitat. They have a great covered patio with chairs and a fire pit for sitting outside at night while drinking a beer or just relaxing staring at their gorgeous property. Inside is a rustic lodge with all sorts of deer and exotic trophy mounts, comfortable furniture and ample space to host small or large hunting groups. Whitni and Kayla did an astounding job keeping everything clean, preparing the delicious food and making sure that we were comfortable and enjoying everything in the lodge. I cannot possibly recommend this place enough, I have nothing bad to say about the people, the lodge, the stay or the hunting. If you want a low-fence whitetail hunt for a great price, with great people in the Texas Hill Country, this is your place. I hope to come back one day and do an axis buck hunt!

Such an amazing experience! Best hunt I have been on! Guide was perfect, patient and helpful. We will be back for sure! Farmhouse is a great addition, comfortable and nice.

Great atmosphere and wonderful scenery. The two story lodge is perfectly decorated and set up. Family oriented people.
