Broken Arrow Farm

Our company had business in Pierre and we chose to house our team for the week at the Lodge at Broken Arrow Farms. The lodge was perfect for our stay. It afforded clean, private rooms for each of our 8 team members, comfortable work space at the spacious table in the living area and another table in the garage area. The numerous TVs allowed us to work collaboratively as well as enjoy the NCAA Championship Football Game as if we were in a sports bar. The short 10 mile drive to Pierre offered the team to see various species of native South Dakota wildlife, beautiful sunrises, and the ability to stop at Scooters or Casey's for coffee, breakfast pizza, donuts, etc. Mark was an exceptional host. He met us upon our arrival and provided us a brief tour of the lodge. Everything we needed was provided. The lodge is fully stocked whether you want to cook, do laundry, clean up behind yourself, play a game of pool, or build a fire in the fire pit. The craftsmanship that is immediately noticeable when you step in the lodge is incredible. The woodwork and artisan nature of the interior and furniture is amazing, especially knowing it was all imagined and created onsite! Although our team was not in town to hunt, we will definitely consider a pheasant hunt on a return trip - the number of birds observed were phenomenal and the habitat and hunting areas are vast and would provide awesome hunting opportunities. For some of our team, there were many firsts such as seeing deep snow, watching pheasant roosters sparring outside the front door, herds of deer moving across the fields, and viewing bald and golden eagles. The Lodge at Broken Arrow Farms is first class and will be our number one lodging option on our return trips to Pierre.

Mark and his guides work their tails off to make it the most enjoyable hunt for your crew. One of the better parts is getting to enjoy hunting alongside all of his dogs - there are so many. Whether for a 3 day hunt staying at their executive lodge or a day hunt, call this place. Have hunted here dozens of times and our energy is the only limiting factor for getting birds. So many wild birds all due to the management of their land.

We had the BEST time during the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, the night we stayed in this unbelievably beautiful home!! If you are looking for a place to stay around the Pierre Area I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!! Thanks again for letting us stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at the lodge while traveling to work in Pierre. It was a fantastic stay! There were 8 of us and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and appliances. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The owner was great. The views and wildlife were stunning. The drive was not too far and very scenic. I would recommend staying here for anyone who enjoys outdoors, wildlife, and open spaces.

This place is AMAZING never a shortage of birds and memories. Mark and Mike have a great set up, great dogs, great guides and some of the best land management around to help grow our pheasant population. I want to thank them for some of best hunts I have had the pleasure to be a part of! If you are looking for an awesome time hunting I would highly recommend Broken Arrow Farms. I can’t help but get more and more excited to hunt again and it’s only July !
