Palmetto State Hunting Lodge, LLC

Palmetto State Hunting Lodge is the best deer and hog outfitter in the south east. My family has been there at least twice a year since 2019. Gino is the best ever.

I have been to Palmetto state hunting lodge 3 times now. 2019 was great 2020 was ok and 2024 was terrible, place has gone down hill bad, Gino lost the good hunting leases, the new spots are terrible, no food plots, no bait put out for the deer and pigs to get use to coming out for, all the pictures he posts are at night and he cuts out the time and date of the photos from trail cams, the stands are not checked and not clean, full of water mud and bees, the lodge was dirty and very dated, the beds are very very small for Anyone over 6 ft, the van you ride out to the lease spots is shot, only half of the doors work, probably not safe to ride in. A couple of the spots you hunt are in peoples yards within a 100 yards of houses, one spot to your left side you would be shooting directly at a main road, not safe. Tried to address the issues with the lodge and the hunting, and he didn’t want to offer a refund or a chance to come back another time when it was better or fixed the issues. Very disappointed in how bad it has gotten in 4 years. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

My husband and I have been coming down here from Charlotte, NC since 2019. We have harvested 9 animals between the 2 of us! Ever since the very beginning we have felt like family. They always take very good care of us, Gino is great, works his butt off and is always good for a laugh. We have hunted another lodge and no place feels like home but here! This pic is from today’s hog hunt and the sunset is from last night!! As long as this lodge is open we will be here every year! I encourage you to check it out, you will not be disappointed. My first time hunting wild hogs and had a blast! Gino and family treat you like one of their own. Great food and great guides. Looking forward to going again.

I enjoyed my hunt. The owner is very personable and accommodating. I did not harvest an animal but that is never a guarantee and im fully aware of that. I look return soon!
