Big R Bird Ranch

Good people and great experience. Affordable, good cover, and healthy birds. Eric is a great guy and accommodating if you have special needs! I have never had a bad day there. My dog likes it too!!!

This year is the first season I've hunted at Big R Bird Ranch. The fields, terrain, and cover are absolutely awesome. Eric is very friendly, accommodating, and professional. He goes out of his way to make sure you have a memorable experience. I highly recommend Big R Bird Ranch!!

We hunted in frigid cold using our own dog. Was a great time! The cover varies from sparse fields to cedar glades in rolling terrain. Besides ‘our birds’ we had plenty more pheasant and chukar to keep the action steady. Thank you Courtney, Eric, and Jonathan - we look forward to hunting Big R again!

First class operation!! Eric is super friendly and accommodating, as was our guide Ellis. It was my wife’s first time bird hunting, and they were super helpful for her. Top notch cover, awesome dog work by Ellis’ dogs. Overall just an awesome experience, we will definitely be returning!

Top notch game bird farm! Have done 3 hunts with them. The first two were with Jay and his dog trigger and both times were an awesome experience with getting near all the birds we had placed plus seeing extras each time! Took my inexperienced girlfriend with me and Jay made sure to take the time and get us into place to where she could get good shots at birds and safely. Watching the dogs work is the best part of the hunt. The third hunt was with Brant and his wife Christine ( I believe I'm getting both of their names right ). This hunt was with 4 people and 32 birds. Thier dogs are AMAZING dogs to watch work. The one dog "camo" is like watching a machine work. Nose to the ground and straight to the bird, was really something to watch. Out of the 32 pheasant put out we killed 31 pheasant and 1 chukar. We had 41! flushes throughout the day with plenty of chances at extra birds. If your looking for a memorable bird hunt Big R would be the top of list recommendation. Eric who runs the show is a nice guy and accommodating. Thank you Eric and my guides for putting up such an awesome experience every hunt! I look forward to coming back once more for this season.
