Wood Guest Ranch

Brought my son to visit Frost Ranch Wear and to see Lane's grave (he's a huge fan of his). This place was perfect for what we needed. The communication was great. It is very quiet there. The location isn't bad. Boswell has the essentials. If we lived closer (we visited from Alabama), we would definitely stay here again. The owner was very friendly! Her husband had to come kill a snake at one of the ponds. He was very friendly! We kayaked on the other pond. My son loved it. He really enjoyed the goats. His favorite thing was that one of the ponds was right outside the door. He really loves to fish! Please don't come here thinking it's the Ritz, it's not. Its a farm cabin on a ranch. But it has beautiful views and quiet.

They don't offer the horse back riding anymore. Didn't visit. The other things they offer I can do where I'm at. Recommend to people nearby or ones stopping through it if you're just looking to go visit someone and their land.

Incredible stay!! The host is very kind and responsive. The tents are very sturdy and comfortable, we stayed during a thunderstorm and it didn’t move an inch! Plenty of things to do from looking at the animals to hiking, fishing, atv riding… etc. Not to mention the beautiful views of the property. Definitely recommend, wished we’d stayed longer!!

This was my first glamping experience and we couldn't have asked for better weather while we were there. Our host greeted us when we got there and gave us a heads up that we'd hear coyotes but that they don't come up there. The view of the pond from our bed was just gorgeous with the fall leaves. The heater actually heated better than we expected and we ended up turning it off in the night as we got too warm. We pet some of the goats that wandered freely about and went a short ways into the walking trails as I couldn't do too much at 8 months pregnant. I also had to make the trip many times to the public restrooms which wasn't far and were well maintained. We were able to light a fire in the fire pit where we roasted marshmallows for smores and we fixed some great steaks and burgers on their grill. The sunrise was beautiful and I didn't want to leave. I'm hoping to make this a yearly tradition in the future though next time we may check out their cabins since we'll have a baby.

Our stay here was wonderful! my husband and I stayed in one of the glamping tents. it was clean, cozy and a good size. it came with lighting, ac and a cute heater. (for colder months def bring extra blankets) they offer a good amount of activities. It's a beautiful location away from the big city. lots of wildlife to witness during hikes. settled near a small town. 3 small town restaurants within 10 minutes. Laura took care of all bookings and communicated very well and was pretty quick to respond back and answered all our questions! super friendly through all the emails and texts! Darby is one of the ranch managers. He really set the tone for the entire experience! He is friendly, welcoming, easy going and informative! He made sure we knew we could just relax and enjoy everything the ranch had to offer and any activities we booked with him, he made fun! (archery,atv tours) The only thing I'd upgrade is the public bathrooms. just because it doesn't match the vibes of the tents. but still they were clean and funtional! The ranch on it own was great but the staff truly made the experience stress free and easy! and that's what makes it worth visiting again!
