Hog Wild

Hunting is so-so. Fun to do but not very challenging, it's quick and mostly guaranteed - so they get paid. The lodge is cool but my room (#7) kept me up most the nights because mice kept running in and out and making noise in the walls. It wasn't my first experience traveling to hunt, but I'm no master hunter either. They DID oblige me by letting me hunt at night with a thermal, but it cost me extra. Not a bad time but not spectacular - it's an experience.

This place is great. The accomodations are great with plenty of space to accommodate different groups. They have great guides, our favorite being Colton. They have plenty of hogs on the land and other exotic options. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the lack of hogs we saw sitting in the blinds. The entire weekend we didn't really see any. During the day the guides get you in hogs through their spot and stalk. Everybody in our group shot the number of hogs they expected. Thank you for a great weekend!

The lodge is great. The atmosphere is wonderful. Most of the pigs are small. My party did shoot 6 pigs out of 6 guys. I didn't get a pig personally. I only saw 4. But this would be a 5 star however my feeder wasn't working so the pigs didn't really cone to my area like the other ls. I didn't do a stalk and hunt because I decided to stay back and watch playoff hockey. My choice..my bad. Guys shot 3 on stalk and hunt. Overall I enjoyed the time. Only negative was the feeder. If possible I'll be back sometime. Maybe save up more money and shoot a Bison

Had a great time hunting wild hogs with my 11 year old grandson this week at Hog Wild. Our guide Todd was fantastic. Todd was very patient And took the time to set my grandson up for a good shot during the stalk and shoot in the afternoon. We tracked the blood trail but unfortunately we were not able to find it, that’s hunting for ya. Great experience for my grandson. The lodge is awesome (except for no water the first day), the property is beautiful. We had a group of 7 during this trip and everyone got a hog. I advise bringing a side arm cause them hogs are hard to kill and unpredictable. I will totally do this again!!!

Seriously one of the greatest weekends of 2022! Already booked my 2023 hunt for a girls weekend. Matt is the absolute best. Would def recommend HOG WILD! 5 stars
