If you like to hunt but can't afford 3000+ acres of land and don't have the time to plant fields of crops, or set up hundreds of deer stands, this is the place. Seriously, we would all be hard pressed to create the habitat that has been developed over the past 40 years by this team. Bring your gear and your willingness to be a good hunter and they will take care of the rest. Great food, great lodging and a team of great people that will treat you like family. Truly an adventure to look forward to.
Just finished up a weekend hunt. This place is amazing. Very clean home cooked meals everyone is very friendly. The trails are well marked so finding your way to your stand is not a problem. I'm already signed up for another trip next year.
Beautiful lodge with an interesting story behind it. Over abundance of hunting property. Amazing staff. Very accommodating. Great meals. You will have plenty of hunting opportunities. You arrive as a client and you leave as a friend. It is a place that you will look forward to the next visit. Highly recommend
Deer hunting great ; I killed 2 animals each time I went . Beautiful location . Food is mediocre.. the guides don’t really guide ; they. Put you in a stand. And leave you.But it is a big herd on a large tract of private property The pheasant hunting has been. Disappointing. The dogs are not well trained. Run a hundred yards ahead all all over The first time we went we had a pointer and flusher . Last time the lab was all over the place . Very disappointing
I just got back home from a 3 day deer rifle hunt at SOA. I had such a wonderful experience and learned so much. I definitely will lock in my stay for the 2025 deer rifle season. All the SOA Staff were great. As a 59 year old first time hunter I couldn't have picked a better place than SOA. Lou C.
