We had such a great time at the Long Island Game Farm! Went with some friends and it turned into a really memorable day for all of us. One of the best parts was getting to feed the deer and goats, such a special experience for the kids. The goats were especially playful and full of personality! My preschooler was honestly terrified at first, but by the end, he warmed up so much and surprised us all with how brave he became. They also had a super fun dog show that the kids absolutely loved, and it was clear the animals were all well cared for. There’s a cute little playground with a train that added even more fun, and the whole atmosphere felt safe, relaxed, and perfect for families. It’s such a great way to spend time outdoors and teach kids how to interact with animals in a respectful, gentle way. We’ll definitely be back, it’s one of those places that’s as educational as it is fun.
My friends & I had a wonderful day. Feeding the goats & deer was fun. Bottle feeding the goats was even more fun. And the best part of our day was the Capybara experience. We got to feed them lettuce & carrots. They were really sweet - and it was a decent amount of time for the whole experience. We loved seeing the ring tailed lemurs and the monkeys, but I have to admit it is a bit sad they have to be in cages. That is not a criticism to the Game Farm, just a general feeling for any place like this. I do believe the animals are well cared for & well loved. I definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. Also, it's not just for kids! There was mostly adults there & everyone was having a great time.
Awesome small local zoo. Lots of animals to feed. But they may bite so I don’t recommend letting small kids feed them. Capybara experience was available which would be cool but we were too late There are benches, shade, snacks, and a gift shop. All tiny compared to bigger zoos but great size for the size of zoo! Lots of mural backdrops for selfies. Concert and animal show venue was good sized. Nice nature trail - again with ample benches. Great little zoo!
The park was nice and had a few animals that kids would enjoy seeing and feeding. However, considering the size of the property, the attractions are quite limited. It’s also disappointing that pony rides are only available on weekends, which isn’t ideal for parents who prefer to visit during quieter weekdays. Additionally, giraffes aren’t guaranteed every year—unfortunately, there were none during our visit. The bathrooms were very dirty, but thankfully, I brought a portable potty, so it wasn’t an issue for us. But our kids had a great time feeding the animals.
We had a really nice time! It's nice to see a smaller facility that has quality enclosures and animals who seem comfortable and content, since it is expensive & tough work. We got to feed a lot of the animals, there were two different petting zoo areas & you can buy refills on the buckets. The nature walk path is good and there's a lot of shade options and benches on the property.
