If you’re looking to hunt on property the owner, Bryce, has no permission to be on, then I guess this is the guide for you! Many local land owners have had issues with Bryce going on their property and hunting without permission. He’s even used hunting blinds that don’t belong to him. Unfortunately, being turned in to law enforcement has had no repercussions, but he has been reported several times.

Leaving a 1 start review, quite frankly is still to much. I would like to advise his out of town clientele that your guide probably doesn't have permission to be on the land your hunting. He is not a very well liked person in the community, and some of his previous reviews reveal what a "hot head" he really is from out of Towner's. I for one would not affiliate myself or want to be in the woods with someone with such a temper. He may be good at his "job" but in my eyes that doesn't justify the charter he really is.

One star is actually too much in my opinion. In recent days, it has been brought to the communities attention that the guide, Bryce is one of the most dangerous, unhinged hunters around. How this man “guides” hunts is incomprehensible. The outcry of hatred and distain for him speaks volumes. His most recent act involved chasing down and harassing a twelve year old boy whom drove PAST his field looking for his lost dog. He harassed and bullied this little boy as well as videotaped it and shared it on social media. I wish I was able to share the video here. It is truly so heart breaking. There have been countless complaints about him trespassing and hunting on property that does not belong to him. He is even bold enough to take his clients on land that he has no business being on. I would certainly think twice before I support this lunatic and his business.

First off being a guide myself I am very particular how other industry professionals treat their customers. Bryce was a gem from the start with the awesome job he did scouting. When It came to the hunting aspect this was an awesome hands on experience from blind building to setting decoys to pulling the trigger. Not only that he's a extremely personable person who was accepting of the volley of questions we bombarded him with and maintained great conversation and communication. 10/10 recommend Easternview for your NY waterfowl fix. Can't leave out Kenai who was one of the best gun dogs I've ever seen work.

In summary, a thorough disappointment. Unbeknownst to me, the day before I arrived they let a guide go who knew Turkey hunting in the area. The guide they gave me was friendly and hard working, and knew turkey hunting, but he didn’t know the area. There was serious tension between the owner, who also guided, and my guide. The owner would only share so much and expected the new guide to figure out too much on his own. I expected to leave NY with my limit and left with no birds. It’s my fault I missed twice, but they were tough run-and-gun shots which I hadn’t really tried before. The owner seemed all about bird kills so he could post his numbers for marketing reasons. He didn’t seem to care at all whether the customer was having a great hunt experience, only that he made his numbers. When I missed the second bird (only 2 shots fired in 3 days!), both my guide and I got berated menacingly by the owner who threw a complete tantrum and had a maniacal meltdown - insulting my guide and me. On the way out to the bird, he grabbed my gun and said I didn’t know how to carry a gun and he’d feel safer carrying it himself (I’m as safe with a gun as anyone I’ve ever met). Numerous times I said to my guide I’d settle for a Jake if a Tom opportunity did not present itself. I then came to learn the owner doesn’t allow Jakes to be taken because they are his future Toms. I would rather have had a clean shot at a Jake than endure the sketchy business practice of having to wait for a sanctioned shot by a control freak owner. I found the lack of opportunities, the tensions between staff, and the owner’s utter lack of professionalism thoroughly discouraging and disappointing. I cringe that the owner has a guide service - he shouldn’t because he doesn’t have a clue about how to treat customers. I would never in a million years wish EVO on anyone.
