Overton Wildlife Management Area

Had a literal blast on opening day of dove hunting 2025. 8 birds in 1.5 hours before the heat set in. I really like the layout and that they limit the number of hunters. I only saw a few people the entire time. Mostly just as I was heading out.

Dry camping with covered tables. About 8 dirt pull-throughs. Free. Beautifully located on the edge of desert marshlands. Great birding and fair waterfowl hunting on even days through the season (reservation only). Down the road a piece is dispersed camping in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Beautiful drive south along the lake.

Love the are. September time frame there is over abundant of mosquitoes so bug spray.

Nice place for a quick stop over. Not the usual wild life management area. Very small. 6 sites. Next to highway, kinda noisy.

Well kept. Free 8 day camping with fireplace, covering for the picnic bench, and minutes away from Overton and Lake Mead NV
