Wapiti Ranch

Wonderful, laid back place to hunt elk in New Mexico. Very private. I’ve been lucky enough to hunt Wapiti the past four years and killed a bull each of those years. Very good meals and camp house. General atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Beautiful piece of land and I feel blessed to have hunted here. Staff and owners and great people. Having a beverage after the hunt always brings good laughs.

I've been going to Wapiti Ranch for 18 years & never shot an elk! (I guess that's what happens when you're a non hunting guest.) Our group always does well though. Some years are better than others but always 100% shooting opportunity. Beautiful country, great accommodation, fellowship & food (except when John cooks up elk liver & heart). This place is a Keeper.

Best elk hunting anywhere , 12 hunters last year and 12 big bulls, 10 were 6x6 and 2 big 5x5's.

Had the pleasure of chasing elk here several times over the last decade. Great accommodations, great people and great hunting. No other place like it.

Extremely rude staff, no hospitality whatsoever. Heard the ranch was good hunting, but the rancher i talked to sounded too sour to even imagine enjoying the hunt.
