If you want a hunt where you show up as a hunter and leave as a close friend, LOH is the place! The LOH team aims to please at all aspects: lodging, food, snacks, providing an opportunity at a fair chase hunting experience. Here is what to expect: LOH is a larger outfit but Jerry, the owner, makes sure there are more than enough guides and more importantly, also employs several spotters out daily to help find elk. I will say, this is a "grinder" real hunt so expect to get up early and stay out late. If you are willing to put in the effort it is worth the outcome! The guides are pros that work tirelessly to put you on elk. I was fortunate to harvest a trophy archery bull on back-to-back years (see pics attached 390 BC and 375 BC). The LOH team truly exemplifies, Love of the Hunt, and will work to make sure you have a great hunting experience! 5-star experience!!

These people heavily manage these reviews and I highly doubt the score Google gives them is reflective of the hint quality as they harass people to remove any reviews. They keep calling me trying to chase down someone (not me) that left a review they didn’t like, which is incredibly obnoxious. I didn’t immediately leave this but after being constantly harassed, felt the need to leave this review. Leave people alone and stop spam calling people that didn’t like your business. They called again today interrupting my chill Sunday morning to bug me, then sent me photos of their kids? Photo attached to show what a goof this guy is. This dude kept going on about some guy I don’t know then speaking to the hunter in me. They just started texting me again asking me to remove this. I seriously doubt this place is truly 4.8 stars, I think they just harass anyone who leaves a slightly negative review. The owner said he convinced the guy they originally mistook me for to remove his negative review as well.

For most of us, a trip like this is a bucket list item. That certainly was the case for me. The LOH Team has their focus on the right parts of the experience - the hunt. I wanted a 100% fair chase, full experience and these guys exceeded all of my expectations. Jerry in intimately involved - a hands on owner that cares about his customers and his team. It shows in the total professionalism of the guides. These guys are elite. After the first hunt, I booked a second to chase (operative word there, as they are impossible) Barbary Sheep with a bow tag, and in the fall 2025 I will hunt again with the LOH team for archery elk and rifle elk. It is going to be a great year!

Jerry - what is there to say about Cody, Xavier, and Frankie. Absolute legends. It was a very tough week. The rut waning made things tough. We hiked to “Hell’s Front Door,” as Cody likes to say. We had set backs and long days, and insane vert to navigate. From Loma to Bonita, to what felt like everywhere in-between. But we got it done on the last day. You have a couple gems in this outfit, dude. A hunter simply won’t find better hunting guides anywhere west of the Mississippi River. Good luck trying. Cody’s energy never runs out and he taught me an insane amount about hunting elk in these hills. Xavier is the ultimate teammate. The guy is a mountain goat, and there is no way we would have been successful without him. Keep him on the team at all costs. Frankie Spratto is a savant. The guy has a sixth sense. See you in September 2025, then again in March 2026 for an Ibex.

I just finished a Barbary Sheep hunt with LOH Outfitters. Trips like these take teamwork, dedication, and people who are just as passionate to hunt as you are. From the first minute of our hunt to the hours packing sheep off the mountain in the dark on the last day these guys never gave less than 100%. They truly love sheep hunting. Dylan Baca was our guide. He knows the area better than I could have ever imagined. I WILL hunt with these guys again. A little advice for people looking at the Barbary sheep hunt, know that you will put in long hard days leaving before dark and getting back well after sunset, expect long walks 5+ miles per day and steep hills, shoot your rifle and expect 400 yards or further for your shot opportunity, trust these guides and wait for a mature ram. My hunting partner and I both got great rams. You can book with confidence at LOH Outfitters!
