Cooper's El Vado Ranch

Had a great time fishing and relaxing at Coopers! The staff are friendly and helpful! Good fishing and lots of areas to explore and see some wildlife! Little or no cell service which is great for relaxing!!! Cabins are stocked with all kinds of cooking and eating utensils, just bring your food! We had a really great time!

Its family owned, and they are super cool. It's pretty rustic, but a great get a way, with many trails to explore. Just be kind and don't disturb nature.

Very nice campground and the cabins are cozy! Had a wonderful time with the kids. Definately a fun and adventerous place for all! The fishing was good as well! Will be going back many times!

We come and spend a week in early September and stay in cabin 2. I can walk out the front door of the cabin and fish the river 10 feet away. I have my favorite spots and they never seem to disappoint me. I really enjoy fly fishing here. Cooking outdoors always makes the food taste better,even the trout. Great place for family and friends, no cell service so it's very quiet and peaceful. I highly suggest this place. We come up from El Paso, Tx and will continue to do so. David Manago

Cooper's has multiple fully furnished cabins, great for fishing, hunting, or exploring northern New Mexico. Be prepared for no phone service (big plus!), and older cabins with distinct charm. Mid to late April, the runoff can get pretty intense- nice for experienced rafters, but not for fishing. When the runoff subsides in the fall it's a great fishing spot.
