Buttonwood Game Preserve

Gail was a great host and John was a great guide. His dog was awesome. Great place for a good time at competitive rates.

My Stepson and I had a great time hunting pheasant and chukar. The proprietor and guide were very friendly and professional. Plenty of birds and very well trained dogs. The birds were stocked at good intervals so it gave the dogs plenty of time to work. Good mixture of fields and thickets, terrain was easy to navigate and the scenery was beautiful. Our guide john made every effort to flush birds that went into the thorn thickets and to follow up on birds that we missed. Any that got away were only to do to us not shooting strait. The bird are raised on site and are healthy robust. Overall I highly recommend them.

buttonwood is a great place been hunting there for years gail is top notch and a good person. been training my little brittany pup there too. 5 stars all the way.

I've been hunting my dogs here for 20 years -- the best preserve in the area with amazing prairie grasses and beautiful wooded areas. Gail, the owner, is the best and really helps make sure the birds are good, healthy flyers. If you don't have time or can't afford a trip to Kansas, this is a little bit of the west in our own back yard.

Excellent experience; go every year! The guides are wonderful people and treat you like family. The dogs are highly trained, best dogs I've hunted with. Good mix of terrain, plenty of birds and of serveral species if you choose. Always a pleasure to hunt here; highly reccomend it to anyone!
