I'll say it upfront. This place is not for the citified, sissified, prima donnas. It's for the real people who grew up in, and APPRECIATE the calm, quiet, rustic natural beauty of northern New England. If you need your internet 24/7, and worry about your dress, makeup and nails, PLEASE stay in NY, CT, and MA where you came from. If you love hearing Loons and watching them swim at your doorstep, then this place is for you. If you love watching Bald Eagles soar and swoop above you, then this place is for you. If you love looking at the stars without light pollution from a nearby city, this place is for you. If you love quiet, and the idea of disconnecting from the web and the world, then this place is for you. If you love the idea of living in a decades old cabin where the floors tilt and the doors don't always close, then this place is for you. If the idea of an idyllic day includes canoeing down the lake looking for Moose and fishing for pristine Brookies and Salmon, then this place is for you. It is rustic, New England, and special. The food is 5-star and the views are priceless. It's a wonderful place for kids to explore and experience nature first hand. Kids and cool parents welcome. Divas not so much. Bosebuck Camps are how life should be. And you'll be a better person for experiencing them.
This place is a great little gem in the western Maine mountains. My riding group and I visited here about 10 times over this past snowmobile season. Mike and Wendy are very accommodating. We often stopped here for breakfast. It is a top notch breakfast and very reasonably priced. The hash is a must have and dont try to order 2 pancakes or Wendy will challenge your appetite, the pancakes are huge. We also gas up here regularly and the fuel service is top notch as well. One night we even made dinner reservations and had an amazing prime rib dinner that was one of the best meals I have had in the area. Dont miss out on this great snowmobile destination.
Very good food. You really have to know where you are going. They are building some beautiful cabins and had a great view. We only had lunch, but had more to eat than you can imagine for the money. Would definitely recommend this place for meals. Call 2 weeks early if you want to have an evening meal.
We always enjoy our stay thanks to Wendy and Dave who provide great food and friendly hospitality. We are keen fisherman but we love the wilderness and meeting the other guests. We always have great wildlife encounters whether it's with moose, fishers, Canada lynx, or bald eagles. This is a beautiful, restful spot and we look forward to going back next year
Where do I even begin!!?? I would like to first mention Wendy and Mike. They are both great people who really add to a great experience at Bosebuck. My father, Bill, has taken me up there twice the past few years when I visit. If you are a fisherman or hunter, Bosebuck is like the Valhalla. My father and I are fly fishermen and this part of Maine is perfect for it. Bosebuck cabins are extremely clean and also have their own showers and toilets. The restaurant is also excellent. I could ramble all day about how great this place is but you really must try this place. If you want to disconnect from the city or just need to reconnect with nature, Bosebuck Mountain Camps is the perfect place to do it. And a big thanks to Wendy for always being so awesome!!!!
