Nice place, primitive camping, vault toilets, no water available. Nice stream stocked regularly with rainbow trout, lake has multiple species of fish. Fishing pressure is high and camping spots can be over crowded at times.

If you're coming here for a peaceful night of camping, forget about it. This is a local fishing hole, so people come and go as they please at any time of the day. Whether it's parents with kids, young adults, or the elderly, most of the people that come here are obnoxiously loud. And they will NOT respect the boundaries of your campsite (one mother brought like five children, with the young ones running around in our campsite). The drivers also like to make wide U-turns around the campground, so be careful if you're heading to the restrooms or the dumpster. My husband and I set up our tent on the one single campsite that was fairly maintained, but everything felt like it was tilting towards the lake. The restrooms were overrun with spiders and flies, and people left their trash in the fire pits (mostly cans of alcoholic beverages). I would not come back here unless I was just fishing or boating for a day. Restrooms: two vault toilets Potable water: no Camping fees: no Other amenities: fire pits and picnic tables

Really beautiful spot. Campgrounds are well taken care of, and the water quality is great. Love the sandy spot at the south end of the lake for a quick swim.

For a place that offers no fee camping the upkeep on the park is awesome. I would recommend camping at the southern end where Verdigre Creek flows in if you have small children. The water is clear, cold and about 2 feet deep most of the way.
