The logging camp ranch is a great place to stay. If you want to experience beautiful terrain like Theodore Roosevelt National Park, then this is a great place to go without the crowds, but with a forest of pine trees and a river that runs through it as well. You can walk through the property and even go down to the river to put your feet in. We stayed in the the Rangarosa, which we happen to have had ourselves. It’s a huge place. Our host Jennifer was very kind and provided us with great conversation. She was intelligent, respectful, and tentative to our needs. There was a a wealth of knowledge she had to share about the history of the area. The place was clean and comfortable. Great views right off of the large deck. This place could be harder to find at night, but clear directions are provided. Thank you for everything Jennifer! You are truly a great host!
My son worked out there with the fire service, cutting trees and said it was really nice that he wanted me to see it, so made a trip.
Looking for a place to getaway from everything. A place for family reunions. A place to reconnect with friends and nature. This is your placed. This past weekend we had the opportunity to attend a gathering for the Badlands Conservation Alliance. Memories made for a lifetime.
Excellent cabins set in the beautiful badlands and run by two wonderful, first class people.
I was perhaps the first 'tourist' in this beautiful region. Locals are sometimes a bit taciturn. Their roots lie in the cold European north. The people here are called HanSON and NIelSON and some of them speak a strange German, which I would like to place in the east - a little bit like Saxony. Difficult to understand. But not impossible. The country is wide here and you begin to understand a little why people stayed here. Tina
