We stayed in High Hope treehouse for a long weekend! It was gorgeous and so cozy! All the staff and family at Spring Lake are friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the lake, hiking the trails, horseback riding, and just enjoying nature. Thanks for having us Spring Lake! We hope to be back soon!
The tree houses are real nice. We stayed in number five. They have signs on door for clean shoes inside only, but don't have enough gravel in driveways to keep feet clean when it rains. The matress needs replacing as you both meet in the middle when you lay on it. For the price of cabins these issues should be taking care of. If those 2 issues were taken care of it would be a 5 star.
Spring Lake Ranch is like a little piece of heaven on earth. I love the rustic feel and especially being around the horses. The trail rides are wonderful, with magnificent views everywhere. You won’t meet nicer, more hardworking people in the world than Jonathan and Ashley. I would spend every weekend there if I could.
An amazing location for those looking for a slice of nature with a farm-like atmosphere! Well maintained and clean facilities. Super nice and helpful staff. Great for solo/couples or large groups/families. Overall we had a great 4 day camp and plan on returning next year. We stayed on the private secluded peninsula our first two nights. It was very remote compared to the main campground/facilities. We are set up to camp without needing close access to water, electric or plumbing (it's plenty private for outdoor use). There was plenty of room at the site to set up a tent, canopy and our van. There is no grill at this site, just a fire pit. After two days of heavy rain, with more on the way, the site became saturated. The red clay became sloppy and slippery. We asked if we could move sites and we were graciously accommodated. We chose C1 as we were there on a weekday and there were few other campers. C1 was a great site. Far less secluded, great drainage and a great view of the lake. The site is close to the lake and has a private grill. There is a wooden platform to place your tent. Very close to the washroom which wasn't annoying as there were few other people camping at that time. The grounds were great. It was great seeing and hearing all the animals. We loved meeting the farm dogs and cats. The trails that circle the lake were pretty cool too. The staff were amazing! The office manager, who we forgot to get her name from, was so nice and attentive. When we had a tornado scare, she drove to our site to warn us and bring us to the main lodge till everything was safe. As the main road had flooded, we had to take the back road. We were concerned if our van could make it with our van fully loaded. Joe, the maintenance man, assured us that we'd be able to get out. He told us he or any of the staff would be happy to escort us to ensure we made it ok. We highly recommend you stay.
Absolutely stunning sunsets at the Lake. The treehouses are exceptional, clean comfy and well stocked for our trip. We also really enjoyed the trail ride, our guide helped everyone and gave nuggets of information along the way - a true horseman.
