This was my first duck hunt other than puddle jumping over the years. The guides and lodge staff were amazing and the duck hunting was a blast! Weather wasn’t ideal but the guides worked very hard and we were successful. The dogs were fun to watch, they are top notch! Thanks for the great experience!

Just finished our trip to the Grand. Weather was warm but our group still got into birds everyday, with most being limits. Food is 5 star, lodging is very accommodating, and staff and guides are friendly and hardworking. The upland hunt is a fun and great way to spend an afternoon. It’s great to see the HF Kennels after the hunt. Dogs and guides are hardworking and friendly. Looking forward to our next trip back!

More like 2.5 stars, but have benefit of the doubt. Most disappointing hunting trip that I’ve been on. Went for a friend that this was supposed to be a “bucket list trip.” Don’t go in December! It needs to be frozen to have ducks as they sit on the refuge. Over priced and over rated. Guides work hard. Food is good. Lodging is ok.

I haven't had the opportunity to get there for a hunting experience but had the pleasure of meeting Ira and if the hunting is half as great as one of the partners I'm sure it's is nothing but top notch. Ron Myers.

I have been hunting at Habitat Flats for 3 years now and have increased our group from 4 to 8 hunters since my initial hunt. We hunt the Saskatchewan Geese hunt in September and it is as fun if not more than our hunts in Argentina for Dove and Ducks. We keep the December Duck hunt as our staple annual group hunt at the Sumner lodge. The food is unreal, guides are experienced and not afraid to grind it out if needed, and finally the over all experience is unmatched to date nationwide. Always a joy to have a hunt w Tony and get his guidance on how we can improve our habitats and hunts back in Texas. And finally, we added the infamous Snowgeese hunt in March to our “Habitat Flat” hunts. What a joy that is when it all comes together on certain days. I recommend at least 3 days per visit to be able to hunt different environments and challenges. You cant and wont go wrong with any Habitat Flat Experience. Enjoy and take some good friends.
