Gold Meadows Hunting Preserve

Very nice folks running the place. I love that they have fields where there aren't just rows of corn that my dog will sprint up and down. Instead, it's more natural cover so I can watch my dog quarter and point. I like hunting wild birds, but game farms work great for putting my nieces and nephews in a target rich environment.

Always see more birds than we paid for. If we were better shots we would have more in the freezer. The dogs are father and son. 1st hunt together. Couple of points honored. So fun!!!

Good hunting. Guide quality varies. Our hunt last year was much better due to the guide. This year he was pretty much a non-communicative. Had to ask him where we were heading next as he would just stand there. Request one if the older guides for a better hunt. They also have to do a little better job with weed management, the dog we had ended up with 50 or more burrs in one field so it spent more time trying to get them off than hunting and the guide just stood there.
