Pointe Mouillee State Game Area

There is a boat launch here and some great bird watching. Bald eagle will fly over, Osprey in the warmer months. Not much in the realm of amenities but great to get away and enjoy wildlife.

One of the nicest most scenic walks in Southeast MI. So many miles of gorgeous walking by the water. Also a great place to fish.

I love Point Mouille. There's four different entrances and areas that you can walk around and spend hours exploring. Campeau, Sigler and Robert. In between Sigler and Robert there is a lesser known area that has a scenic walk and connect to the Vermet Loop. There are so many paths and all are beautiful in their own way. Point Mouille is my solace in a hectic world. There is much sadness from September through December 15th when the grounds are closed.

Good birdwatching and opportunities to drop a kayak in. Lots to explore.

It's great place to combine bike riding and fishing. You need a gravel bike or better (mountain bike recommended). The fishing is usually quite good and you have access to both wetland areas and lake Erie bays and shore. It is, however, challenging to fish from shore as you need to be in pretty good shape from shore as in most places (not all) you need to climb around on large rocks. The bugs can be super thick when riding and the weeds do become quite tall in mid-summer making some trails difficult on a bike.
