Dead End Pheasant Farm

I've been lucky enough to have been invited to some of South East Michigan's premier Pheasant hunting venues, The Huntsman, Hunter's Creek, and enjoyed the heck out of them. Unfortunately my pockets aren't deep enough to afford the membership, the dues and the fees. We've sought alternatives like Farmland Pheasant Hunter's, Ciavola's and Rooster Ranch and while they are good we've managed to find perhaps the best, most affordable local venue right North of Almont: Dead End Pheasant Farm. It is without a doubt in my opinion the best in SE Michigan. From the downright personable friendly owners, the atypical farmland Pheasant habitat, dog handlers and cleaning services, Dead End is definitely a cut above. A place any bird hunter would be happy to experience and gets my highest recommendation!

Took my dog here for a training session and learned about from them! The owners are very wonderful people. I had a flat tire and they help me with my flat tire as well! I have another pheasant hunt tomorrow and I cannot wait. This is the perfect farm to take your dog to or just in general pheasant hunt. Their birds take flight and they don’t run!

I had scheduled a hunt for my two young sons with another location that fell through (canceled on me the night before). Dead End was able to save my butt and accommodate a hunt for us on very short notice and it was wonderful. The property is gorgeous and laid out brilliantly. The owners were great to work with and we can’t wait to go back (in two weeks). Lastly, I need to comment on the birds - these are the healthiest birds I have seen in a very long time. I clean all my own birds after a hunt and the fat reserves on these birds was akin to true wintertime wild birds - fantastic!

Great friendly people that run the farm , lots of elbow room and hard running hard flying birds . You will see more birds than you bought and are allowed 1 extra pick up bird for every 4 purchased . Birds were in great shape ! Tucked back in on a dead end road no worries about road traffic . Really a great experience . I've hunted a bunch of farms over the last 25 years or so , this was the best of 'em .

Deborah was very patient working with me and my 5 month old GSP pup, the results were excellent! Missy my 5 month old pup was fantastic, on opening day she pointed and got her first wild rooster and found several birds!!!
