Our family went for a bear hunt and fell in love with the place not just for the hunt but also the vacation! We can’t wait to go back again. Randy and Sharron run a wonderful lodge from the food, lodging, guides and the hunt it exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a get away in the summer or a hunt we can’t say enough about wilderness escape!

Met with Randy at a convention this weekend. He was extremely knowledgeable and thought me more in an hour than I knew in 20 years of hunting. I highly recommend checking out their website!

Great place to fish, boat, hike or just kick back and relax on a rainy day. Sharon, Randy, Bobby and the dogs were great hosts that made us feel welcome! The cabins were spacious, neat, clean and comfortable and the hot showers felt good after a long day in the sun. Thank you for hosting us for a great vacation!

I just recently returned from a bear hunting trip with Wilderness Escape Outfitters. I was part of a small group that decided to try our luck for a bear. Two of our group of four were successful with a bear harvest. I was hesitant to try this hunt due to personal battles with anxiety. However, I am so grateful that I let myself take part in this hunt. I can’t say enough good things about this outfitter. From the awesome meals prepared every day to the knowledge and friendliness of the guides and entire crew. I met so many people from different areas, and everyone just seems to click and get along. Randy and his entire crew truly make you feel like family, and one of their own on your stay. Not once did I feel rushed or pressured. It was a truly relaxing and stress free time. There was so much fun , laughter and shared stories with Randy, Heith, Bruce,Terry, Derrick and other fellow hunters. On some of the times when we were not bear hunting, we were enjoying some great fishing and even grabbed a few sites of the beautiful Maine wilderness from nearby lookouts. I would like to thank my guide Derrick for his efforts in trying to get our tags filled. Thank you, Randy, Sharon, and thanks to your entire crew for an awesome trip!
