Nate and his crew are second to none. From the food here at deans motor lodge and sleeping accommodations to all the guides with the common goal of making our stay as pleasant as possible to putting us in front of a bull , this is truly a hunt of a lifetime . My son weston was the subpermitee and Ben was our guide with some help from nate himself I was humbled , honored and very fortunate to be with this A team group. Thanks so much to Nathan ,Ben, deans and all the others that shared and helped me in this memorable experience!!

All, I have to say that to everyone that reads this, the experience that both Mike and I had was that of once in a lifetime, it was absolutely tremendous in every regard. The information that was passed along to us was incredibly accurate and useful and the equipment that we were told to bring and use was some of the best I have ever worn in a field environment. The people that manage and are employed by both OMM Outfitters and KUIU were incredibly helpful and extremely professional, highlighted by Nathan, Alan and Justin. The staff at Eagle Lake was superb, highlighted by Gloria....she kept us all well fed, kept hot coffee in us and ensured we all were gentlemen whenever we were in the dining hall.....she is fabulous in every regard. I would be remiss if I did not mention the Guides, specifically Rob Fickett. Besides being a mountain of man, the knowledge of his craft was stunning, he is an absolute subject matter expert. His field craft is top notch, he had to continually remind an Old Ranger to keep his voice down and to not slam the door to the vehicle......I eventually reached the standard. Seriously though, he is an expert, he lead us well, taught us more about moose hunting than I ever could imagine and he can certainly walk, it was an absolute pleasure to be around someone that is very committed and passionate to being the best at his assigned duties. What is really important is that a Gold Star Family Member was provided the opportunity to honor a Brother that was Killed In Action and that it came to fruition with a very large moose being brought down. I personally thank each and every one of you for that, I am pretty sure it means a lot to the entire family as well. Lastly, I want to thank everyone that made this happen a personal thank you from myself. I was provided the opportunity to meet a pretty incredible young man, shared a lot of talk and field time with each other and I take the blame for keeping him up late at night discussing our profession. Nathan and the whole group of guides, hounds men anmd dogs of course lol and cooks at OMM Outfitters are wonderful people, and Gloria can cook!! Nathan and Allan have a great operation up at Eagle Lake and they harvest some beautiful animals. I was fortunate enough to harvest a black bear first morning using the hound hunt. Did some perch fishing, took a nap on a hammock in the sunshine, just soaking it all in! I look forward to coming back in 2026 for another bear hunt.

4 bear 3 moose down in less than a week. Ben Bouchard was great we saw 19 moose and also got one 🫎 in 4 days. Rob mayo was great we got a big moose 🫎. Ed dillopoply (I think that’s how it’s spelled) got us another big 🫎 nick and Robert were great to and got us 4 nice bears. Loved every second. I will recommend this to everyone.

Nathan and his staff are the best! Gloria’s evening meals are unbelievable. The log cabin I stayed in was clean, warm and really cool! Their research on where to hunt is probably unmatched in Northern Maine! Lots of nice bull moose taken including my monster known as Dodge (he dodged a bullet in 2018) One hunter only had 5 hours to get his bear because of a early departure for a work emergency and they got it done with a 500 pound boar! I would recommend hunting or visiting OMM for any adventure of your choice!
