I've hunted with them 4 years in a row now troy is very knowledgeable and does his absolute best to get you your bear .....if you're looking for a fancy lodge and all the bells and whistles this isn't for you....if you're looking for a guide who treats you like family go with these people ,very genuine and down to earth....I'm booked again this spring and can't wait to go again!!!

I went here a couple years ago for a bear hunt with hounds and it was the worst hunting experience I ever had. Troy lied about several things to get me to book the hunt that weren’t true. Troy was more concerned about cutting up and butchering moose then helping his clients get bear. He pawned us off on another guide while he stayed home to cut moose meat one day and that guide was clueless. This guide no kidding drove us around lost for over 4 hours one day. One day he gave a poor excuse of it rained last-night and dogs can’t track after it rains so we aren’t hunting today. Coming from someone who has hounds he just lied because the whole day he was doing nothing but butchering moose. Also he booked 3 different people to hunt one set of hounds. This is ridiculous. Every other outfitter books 1 on 1. I wish I’d asked this before I booked but I didn’t do my research first. A couple days he pawned me off with another guy to drive me around while he tried to get another guy who rode in his vehicle a bear. All I did was sit in this guys truck parked not even hunting those two days while Troy and the other guy chased a bear all day. I never saw Troy all day. The food is absolutely terrible.He told me his mom cooks great dinners every evening and was amazing cook. Well truth is her food was really bad. The lunches no kidding were no more the two slices of bread and a piece of bologna no cheese or anything definitely don’t recommend hunting here.

Troy and Brenda are the greatest two folks I know of their children are very sweet. Troy will give you his 100% to make your hunting experience great. He is very knowledgeable of what he’s doing.I would highly recommend mid Maine out fitters

We took a 650 lb Moose in October 2019 to them and first off they cut steaks strange. Cut them in little pieces and roll them up? What happened to 1 inch or 3/4 inch steaks? We got a 600 lb Moose in 2018 and got back 110 lbs of meat each 220 total. This Moose was as I said 650 lbs and we got roughly 90 lbs each? 180lbs total. Something is not right. Just be careful who you have butcher your Moose. The 650 lb Moose in 2018 we took to Maple lane farms. They had to many in 2019 to take this Moose so we ended up going to Mid Maine outfitters for butching. Thought I'd share this.

Absolutely, very nice people to work with! Very calm n laid-back! I shot a very beautiful 309 lb bear with them! Thank you for the amazing experience!
