Had a great girls hunting weekend! Food was delicious and lodging exceeded my expectations of "hunting camp" (hot showers, comfortable beds, laundry). Most importantly, Mike and Dave put us on the birds! They'll have you laughing all day. Gorgeous location and area of Maine are the icing on the cake! Mike's dog got along great with my dog as well.

I had a great grouse hunt with Maine Upland Guide Service in October! The birds were plentiful and the hospitality was great! The camp is located in a beautiful location and you can be hunting as soon as you walk out the front door. Also not far from some of the best Salmon and Brook Trout fishing around! I can’t wait to go back!

The location is totally worth the beautiful drive! Though we only stayed one night, we were able to see a moose, feed birds by hand, and pick wild blueberries. The cabin was super-clean, and so cozy, with lots of books, games, and places to sit and take in the views. Our time here was beyond relaxing; the hosts have thought of so many lovely details to take care of everything. We highly recommend it (and plan to stay more than one night!).

I have used guide services in the past, all have been good at what they do, Yet MUGS ( Maine Upland Guide Service ) is an entirely new experience. They have what it takes to make the trip successful, and you feel like your on a trip with family. I already have plans for next year with family and friends to show them what a true Maine woods adventure should be! Looking forward to it,,,
