Muddy Bottom Outfitters

My father has been hunting at Muddy Bottom Outfitters for years and invited me to go bow hunting for the first time in October. We booked a multi day package and saw big deer every day and got to sit in multi stands/blinds on some of Chris’s hundreds of acre properties. I got a large 9 point buck while my father got a larger 8 point buck and a doe. Chris and his wife Jocelyn are wonderful hosts and provided us with breakfasts and dinners each day which were absolutely delicious. They also provided lots of snacks for us to take out into the stands with us each day and Chris personally helped me stalk and get my buck that was bedded down with a doe. I highly recommend this outfitter to anyone looking for a very experienced outfitter that puts their customers first. I will now be a repeat customer every year along with my father.

I've been going to Chris for 6 seasons now and will keep returning simply because I can trust him. Its hunting and. Ithing is guaranteed and I dont kill a gobbler every year with him, but every year i know Christ puts his all into getting me on a bird. I've truly enjoyed all my hunts with Chris, succesful or not.

I spent a few days at the end of April 2024 turkey hunting Maryland with Chris. I was in camp with two other men, all 3 of us got a gobbler and had solid hunts in those two days. Chris takes his turkey hunting seriously. If you're not that type of person, his personality may rub you the wrong way. I prefer a man like Chris that puts in the work to make my experience hunting with him the best it can be. Again, it is hunting and nothing can be guaranteed, but Chris' work ethic is solid. The accommodations were fantastic. And the food.... my goodness his wife can cook! I have no reservations hunting with Chris again and hope that our paths will cross again in the future.

I booked this hunt on short notice due to a cancellation.Easy to work with and accommodating had a plan worked out in no time. Immediately knew it was a family atmosphere. As hunting sometimes goes we weren’t able to connect with that big one we’re all chasing. We had some hot days and wild winds however, we gave it hell for 4 days straight. I never felt like I was in a poorly placed stand or had any controllable’s working against me. Chris has a great knowledge of how and where deer move and is conscious of using the information on hand to hunt the best locations for likely encounters. The whole family was welcoming and accommodating. I ate good, slept good, an was in good company.

I hunted w Chris this spring. I was initially booked for both Maryland and Delaware. Unfortunately, his access in Delaware fell through for reasons outside his control. Thankfully, he was honest about it and let us know in advance. I was able to eventually secure a hunt and Chris was nice enough to let me stay in his lodge after I filled my Maryland tag to chase birds in Delaware. Regarding Maryland, it was a top notch set up all the way around. I’ve been lucky enough to hunt all over the country for multiple species. I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I don’t leave a 5 star review lightly for Chris. His communication skills were great from initial booking all the way up to the hunt. His prices are reasonable. The house is newer, nice and clean. The food his wife prepares is excellent. Chris is an excellent turkey hunter and woodsman. He had the birds pegged and if plan A didn’t work out, he could easily pivot to plan B and C if needed. The 3 of us in camp all tagged out the first 2 days and I would think the other 2 guys in camp would give a similar review.
