Ahhhhhh....fresh air and surrounded by nature is very therapeutic..A great escape right in your own backyard. It wasn't hard to spot a deer or any other wildlife while walling along the trail. It helps to call the phone number located on almost every post. A prerecorded voice provided context to each site. Don't forget to stop by the community garden to smell some fresh herbs. I can't wait to go back!
A nice nature habitat right outside of Boston. The trails were easy to walk, especially if you have toddlers or babies. The trails were well marked and easy to follow, not much in the way of birds in mid February, but the kids and I saw three deer on the property. The goats were in the barn till spring, but overall a nice place for a walk. They don't allow biking or pets on the property. But for the older crowd they do have nice restrooms. I'll definitely be bringing the kids back in warmer weather.
day9 (03JUL24) sanctuary19: nature center in grand manor-house. kids camp busy. easy trails, i did a nice loop just over 3/4 mile, longer or shorter can be easily achieved. surprisingly quiet considering it's urban location (e.g. road noise around nashoba brook sanctuary is more noticeable).
Awesome little oasis in Belmont. The Visitor Center is this neat old building. The trails are well kept. Plenty to see. And they have two free EV chargers!
This place is beautiful. It's a wonderful place to walk around and just enjoy nature! I was able to get some great photos of the wildlife residing here as well! The staff are super friendly and are always there to help! Seriously I can't recommend this place enough!
