Camp Kay Outfitters

I booked my first hunt through Camp Kay. As a first time hunter I thought going with an outfitter would be a great start. I was right! They were extremely helpful in getting me set up and ready to go. They were attentive and communicative. When I shared that I hadn't seen any deer at the stand I was in on the first day, they promptly got me to another stand where I saw deer and took down my first buck within 3 hours of being at the new location. My buck scored 130", they taught me how to field dress the deer and quartered it for me the next morning. I went with the expectation that I may not get buck, it's mother nature and that's all part of hunting, but they went out of there way to give me the best opportunity. Their efforts paid off and were greatly appreciated.

Went for my first turkey hunt, and had a great time. My Guide Braden reached out to me a few times before the hunt to make sure I was prepared for the day. His expertise and ability to spot and call in a turkey is truly amazing. It was a challenging day, but he went above and beyond to make sure I had a successful hunt and a great experience. Will definitely be back.

Stands are old sets with and old ratchet straps that have not been changed in years. It appears that they don't do maintenance on the stands nor due they change out ratchet straps. The ones we were assigned, the straps and stands were nearly grown over by the trees. Very disappointed 2024.
