Samsons Mountain

This place is a scam. I paid a deposit ($500) in 2024. Was told later in 2024 that the particular deer I was after was strictly nocturnal and couldn’t be hunted. I could “roll” my deposit over to the following year or use for shed purchases. I’ve called and text and called again to nobody replying to me. Stay away! Buyer beware! Also found out the owner (Jerry) was cited for illegal hunting in the state of Illinois!

I don't hunt but I rented a cabin here for my family. I plan on coming back we loved staying here. The owner was very nice and down to earth. We enjoyed watching all the animals from our patio.

Our hunting experience was amazing and absolutely a FIVE STAR rating! The main lodge was perfect, and all of the meals were excellent. The whole staff were so friendly and helpful with our entire experience. Samsons Mountain has the best whitetail population for the deer of your choice. Desiree provided us with great customer service and set us up for success. She provided us with three guides for our hunt and these guys were the best! The guides were Steve, Catfish, and Brad and they are very knowledgeable in all aspects of hunting. They were very patient with us and allowed us to take our time in search of our deer. Me and Dalton both harvested the deer of a lifetime! We will always remember this hunt and we are already making plans to come back! Thank you for everything! Scott Welch

Wow what an experience! Steve was awesome and I've never seen a guide work harder to make sure a client got the deer he wanted. Dusty and him are the type of guys you want to spend the day with. We went there planning on shooting 2 deer. One for my daughter and one for my daughter in-law. We ended up shooting 5. The tree house was a great place to stay. I arrived after dark, got settled in and was shocked at the awesome veiw in the morning, as the sun rose over the lake! Food and fellowship were great! We will be back next year and we are bringing more people. Keep up the good work!!

My experience was awesome because I was hunting black buck and there not a easy animal to shoot l had to take a very difficult shot and my guide allowed it due to my hunting experience, the room's were very clean. Awesome experience thanks
