Green Acres Sportsman's Club & Gun Dog Success

I am a first time upland hunter and went to Green Acres to have my dog trained. Not only did they do an amazing job training my German Shorthaired Pointer but they provided support to me as a first time hunter to ensure I felt comfortable working with my dog. My wife and I love the staff here so much that we always board our dog with Green Acres when we go out of town. They are always willing to work with our schedule and on more than one occasion have allowed us to modify our pick-up/drop-off date. Not only is their staff amazing but the facilities and land they have is truly top tier allowing for the best environment for both dogs and hunters! I am truly grateful for Green Acres and am proud to be a member!

My daughters call it "camp," and they’re not wrong—Zadoc spends each summer at Gun Dog Success preparing for the upcoming hunting season and his NAVHDA International Utility Test. The grounds are phenomenal, offering diverse scenarios that keep training fresh and challenging. From fields and forests to water setups, Zadoc gets a full spectrum of environments to hone his skills. It’s like Disneyland for dogs and hunters alike. And let’s talk about the staff—these folks are the real deal. Elijah, our trainer, is nothing short of a dog whisperer with a Ph.D. in patience. The entire team is top-notch, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure both dogs and their humans leave better than they arrived. If you’re looking to up your hunting game and give your pup the time of their life, Green Acres and Gun Dog Success are where you need to be.

Came here a few years ago with my buddy Sam when he sent his dog Nellie here for training. It was a nice facility and since I’m a pro upland dog trainer he wanted my feel on his dog’s introductory session. All of the things the trainer was doing was spot on and as I’m not a retriever trainer by any means I knew that if I had one I’d feel very comfortable sending them here.

For starters, if I could give 10 stars I would. Across the board all staff was phenomenal. The facility is very well maintained and the trainers are top tier in their profession. I had my GSP enrolled in training for a little over 2 months with Elijah. I couldnt be happier with the results of his hard work and I couldn’t be happier to have HIM train my dog. He was professional, educational, invested, caring, accommodating and overall an absolute pleasure to work with. Whether you’re near or far, if you’ve got a gun dog that you want trained, this is the facility for you.
