Are you looking for an epic snowmobile trip? Seven Devils Lodge/Ranch in Council, Idaho is it!! The hospitality and terrain in this area is one of a kind! The guide D.R is not only knowledgeable with the area, he also took the time to help each rider with their riding techniques. He handled our large group with different skill levels well. Everyone was challenged with their riding and the views were amazing. The lodge was perfect for our large group. The beds were super comfortable and each bedroom has their own private bath. All the meals were tasty and filling. There is nothing better than coming back to the lodge after a long day of riding and a hearty meal waiting for you. The large fireplace was a perfect place to unwind and hot tub at the end of the night was the topper. This is by far the best snowmobile trip! We will be back next year!
Love this place! Our family first stayed at this amazing lodge a couple years ago and we had an amazing time. The lodge has a nice clean rustic feel and it felt like home the first day. Our favorite was eating lunch on the massive deck overlooking the meadow. We saw a whitetail doe and fawn every evening and morning from the deck. There was so much to do. Our families favorite was of course the horseback riding. DR is an amazing horseback riding instructor and put so much time and effort into showing us how to correctly handle a horse. I've been on horseback before a long time ago but this was completely different from the trail riding experiences before. I actually learned a lot and was able to use it on our ride through the meadows. Besides horseback riding the kids loved just being outdoors and exploring the large meadow the lodge sits in. They have horseshoes, fishing, archery, paddleboards and much more. We even took an evening drive up to a lookout that overlooked Hells Canyon (see pic attached) The area around the lodge is breathtaking! The food was amazing and had us looking forward to dinner every evening. The staff is extremely friendly and works hard to make sure you have a great time. After a few nights they really dont feel like staff but more like friends. We will be back again!
If you want a little piece of heaven on earth, then this is for you. My first experience took place during a two-day snowmobile workshop where I joined 12 other sledders eager to improve their skills. This workshop was a miracle - I now have much more control on my sled and even more confidence when I'm floating upon epic back-country pow. The experience didn't end with the workshop; the lodge staff is superb, offering exquisite home-cooked meals (dessert included), a hot tub, a nice warm room with a comfy bed, and a large living room to throw on a football game after a long ride. Oh, did I mention the guide/lodge manager totally resembles a cooler/better-looking version of Matthew McConaughey? He does, and he plays the guitar like George Strait, but I digress... The Lodge also offers a dry room to hang your snow gear. If winter isn't your season, then no worries, they offer great fishing, hiking and horseback riding adventures during the warmer months that are second to none! As a Chicagoan, I look forward to coming back here every year to enjoy the mountains, breathe in the crisp smell of pine and partake in the well-rounded, exceptionally-well organized outdoor recreation that SDL offers. I can't wait for my Bachelor Party in June and look forward to another hunting trip soon...
June 1, four of us ladies from our Bible study went to the seven devils ranch for a horse back ride. IT WAS FABULOUS. The horsemanship clinic was so informative and D.R. and Phillip, our horsemen, were excellent. Because of the training your get there, the horses are so well behaved because the rider is using consistent riding methods. THE VIEWS WERE SO BEAUTIFUL that I cannot describe it. AND the LUNCH was more than FANTASTIC. All four of us have had many adventures -- but this rates right at the top. We didn't want to leave!! Sally Wise
If you are looking to spend time in paradise, you have found the right place. The scenery here is absolutely peaceful and relaxing. The accommodations at the lodge are cozy, clean, and inviting. The hospitality from your hosts (The Bledsoe's) are top-notch attentive. The choices of activities, no matter the season, are endless and relaxes the soul. I have been and will return to Seven Devil's Lodge. I would highly recommend you do the same. :)
