McCall Hatchery - Idaho Fish and Game

Great people work here! We arrived with a group of 11 and got a great tour from one of the workers. Also got to see some salmon being put in the tank!

Perhaps we just came at the wrong time of year, but there was not a whole lot to see. The doors were locked along the tour path and the tour dead ends. The guy in the office came out and helped us giving us some facts, but needed to get back to his work in the office. Probably cool at the right time of year.

This is a great place to learn some about efforts toward salmon conservancy. Great self guided tour and if you are lucky you will find a willing staff member eager to show you around. Easy stop and worth the visit!

Great place to explore. The staff is friendly and helpful. The adult fish are there from mid July to early September. We had fun looking around.

Ok place to visit on Sunday that's free. That said, the hatchery is just concrete tanks full of hatchlings, no adults or displays beyond a cool bear skin on the wall. Very nice grounds and good place to walk.
