Legacy Acres Hunting Club

We just visited the folks at Legacy for 3days starting this past Monday, going out for some Iowa pheasants 1.5 of those days with travel. Both guides were great, and the dogs worked excellently. Our work group of 6 from WI all enjoyed this stay and the time in the fields. Lodging was very accommodating and all staff was great. Running to town to get us the bars of soap we forgot. I have to give an extra comment to Mr. Mike Myers the chef. Every meal was excellent, with each having just a little extra effort and care put into it. Everything was made onsite and from scratch, for the most part. Could tell that he really really takes pride in his product. A very nice human being as well- would have been nice to talk his ear off a little bit more. Please pass on the compliments to Mike for me. All in all highly recommend, especially an overnight stay or two!!! Well done folks!

We planned a surprise 60th birthday party. The 14 guests were flawlessly handled from Friday through Sunday. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The guides were great. The dogs worked hard. The lodge was really cool. The rooms were spacious and each one had its own bathroom. The chief's meals were better than many 5-star restaurants that I have been to. I couldn't think of anything that we would have done differently. The evenings out by the fire pit with 14 family and friends will never be forgotton. This was the site for the high school reunion! We did not do any hunting, but the accommodations and location were wonderful! The large gathering area had plenty of seating for all both indoors and outdoors and tables for eating and games. The rooms were comfortable and beds / linens / bathrooms very nice. I Highly Recommend this place for any large gatherings! Mike’s meal was amazing! Thank you, Mike!

My family and I have been coming here for years. We have just returned home from another great trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The owners and their staff are great. They all go out of there way to make everything great. The lodge is very nice. Everything is clean and you will feel very comfortable. The hunting is first class and you will get all your birds and then some. Food is excellent. You won’t leave hungry and I guarantee you won’t be able to go out to eat and find meals like this. We look forward to this trip every year. Keep up the good work guys. Can’t wait to see you all next year.

We drove from Tennessee to hunt Iowa Pheasants. Curt and his crew put us on the birds. I was my three sons and me. First time my sons got to hunt the birds. Great experience with a fine grip of people. We had A great time. 5 star rating for us.
