Kaluakoi Outfitters

I spent a terrific weekend at Kaluakoi Outfitters hunting axis deer. Cathleen is a great host and treated our group like family. Our guide, Jake, was a wealth of knowledge; knew the land like the back of his hand and is a very experienced hunter/tracker. My group felt safe and taken care of for the entirety of our visit, they really go the extra mile to make your hunt special! I had a group of 3 and we each got a buck and a doe and took home some delicious venison. I'd recommend Kaluakoi Outfitters to hunters of any experience and age.

This is my second hunt with kaluakoi outfitters, but first time going on my own! As usual, Cat and Dan were welcoming and encouraging! Jake is incredibly patient, explains clearly and is generous with sharing his knowledge. His passion for hunting and the outdoors in general is truly contagious! I learned so much from Jake; he’s made me a better hunter in every aspect, and I feel more confident and competent handling firearms as well. He didn’t just teach me what I needed to know for my hunt but also took the time to help me understand why it matters. Jake truly went out of his way to make my time there so memorable! I highly recommend kaluakoi outfitters to all hunters, especially female beginners just starting out and wanting to learn. The only downside was having to leave Molokai because it was definitely a trip I’ll never forget! Thank you kaluakoi ‘ohana for everything! ♡

This was my first time with an outfitter, and first time on Molokai, I have spent a half dozen trips to Lanai learning the land, and the tendencies of axis. Primarily a bow hunter but booked with KO to fill the freezer, and I was not disappointed! Jake knows the land very well, and it felt like hunting with friends more than going out with a guide service. Excited to be back and take my family out.

If you are looking for a deer hunt that is memorable, then you need to contact Kaluakoi Outfitters. Clean, comfortable lodging is provided. The guide service is fantastic. Jake, our Guide, knows his stuff and his skill at spotting the game is incredible. Cathleen provides great logistical and planning support, and is so friendly to talk to. For older hunters like me, the guided hunt will save wear and tear on your legs. After you shoot your game, Jake can bring you close to the game with his ATV. You can dress the game yourself if you want, but Jake can do it in a jiffy. My family will be back.

2025 - Had another great hunt with Jake and Cat! We saw a lot of deer and was very lucky to harvest a great one! Coming back again in 2026! They do a great job!! 2024 - We have been in the Outfitting business for 40 years in Alaska & Montana, and Kaluakoi Outfitters run a top of the line operation. Jake, Cathleen and Dan are a pleasure to be around and the hunting is top notch. Jake is a very professional guide and knows the deer and the county. Thanks for the GREAT Hunt! We will be back.
