Oconee River Lodge

I had an incredible experience at this lodge. The guides worked tirelessly to make sure every hunt was well planned and successful. They truly know the land and the deer. Ms. Darlene kept us well-fed with delicious meals. The lodge itself was clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax. Overall, it’s a great hunting destination with great people that felt like family! I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great deer hunting trip.

We had such an awesome time with these guys. The lodge/facility's were very nice. The food was great and the staff were not only helpful but very knowledgeable. They worked their tails off to give us the best experience they possibly could. I will definitely be coming back!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. The cabin, the food, & the guides are great. Seen a bunch of deer while sitting in a few of there many stands. Kevin the owner is a great guy and has definitely hand picked the staff to match. Out of about 8 hunters during my stay 3 of them shot bucks a few misses from the other guys and I believe everyone saw deer. Definitely be going back next year!

We just returned from an incredible trip to Oconee River Lodge, where nine of us—family and friends from Pennsylvania—traveled down to Georgia for a hog hunt. Although we arrived somewhat ill-equipped and uncertain of what to expect, our guides went above and beyond to provide us with multiple opportunities and unforgettable encounters with wild hogs. For a free-range hunt, we were thrilled to harvest seven hogs! As a group with extensive experience in guided and semi-guided hunts, we can confidently say that this operation far exceeded our expectations. The lodging was top-notch, and the food was absolutely phenomenal—some of the best we’ve had on any hunting trip. Me and my buddies have never done a guided hunt before and were honestly scared going into this because we had absolutely no idea what to expect( you have the choice of having a guide with you at all times or being dropped off alone), but all the staff were incredibly nice and did there absolute hardest to make sure everyone took something home from looking at there trail cameras for the most activity , flying the drone around all night updating us on where they would be coming from to driving us to where they were bedded. The lodging isn’t 5 star but it’s totally understandable since the building is a work in progress( which is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars), with that in mind it was still very cozy. Don’t even get me started on the food, that could be a whole other paragraph of pure delight. Over all it was a great trip and we will definitely be back in the future.( All the land this lodge has is not high fenced)
