This was so much cooler than I ever thought it could’ve been. Honestly. I’m a huge animal lover. It really doesn’t matter the type of animal I love them. My husband and I went to the area around here and actually came to this place on a whim. I mean when you read a name of a place is called iguana land you kind of think that it’s gonna be some sort of lame side of the road sideshow type of thing. It was actually so good. They have so many animals. I believe they have over 250 animals. The girl at the front desk was so so but when I asked about the animal encounters, she just had to check if someone was available and they were and it was only $15 on top of the ticket price which is like 26 or something. This $15 is the best money I spent in a long time One of the younger workers named DJ was our encounter tour guide and he was great. He was excited to be doing what he was doing and he said this was his dream job and you can tell that he really enjoy himself. And likes his job. My husband and I are pretty laid-back folks. So it was probably an easy tour for DJ. He did a wonderful job and I would have him as my tour guide again. We kinda just let him guide us and pull out animals that he thinks are fun to show. He did ask if there was anything we wanted to see specifically, but I didn’t know really what they had and I didn’t know what this encounter business was all about either. Come to find out you get to see 3-5 animals in like a half an hour or something like that. And it was actually really great seriously it is well worth the price of admission and 15 extra dollars. I will probably do this encounter every time if it’s available. I loved this place so much that my husband and I bought year long passes. Which was only an extra $26 or something on top of our already paid ticket price so somewhere around $50 for a year pass per person. I thought that was extremely reasonable and I can’t wait to go back. I had such wonderful experience and I think we were there for 2 to 3 hours or more. I got to touch whatever animal we had encounters for. And that was really awesome. I even got to meet all of their small Galapagos tortoises and that was actually really fun. I feel like their enclosures are really nice. Some of the aquatic turtle ones are kind of just so so but they all seem very happy. I really liked their land/water tortoise enclosures. They have a bunch of plants and even a little creeks and tiny pond and it was actually really gorgeous and I enjoyed them so much. The Galapagos tortoise says, and the other large tortoises have huge enclosures that they get to explore. They’re creating new really cool enclosures for their rocket iguana and I bet that is gonna be super cool. Honestly, this place made me wanna work there. It seems like the people I encountered who work there really enjoyed their jobs. I didn’t realize it, but we did run into the owner on the way in and he told us to have a nice time. Anyway, I thought it was a very great experience and if you are thinking about going, it’s definitely a win in my book.

We loved our time here! The habitats are beautiful, well maintained and you can tell the animals are very well taken care of and loved. There were soooo many reptiles to see and we were even able to pet Donkey Kong! We spoke with a few of the staff members who obviously love what they do and work hard. We also met Mr Park, the owner, and he is a kind and gracious man. He gave all the credit and praise to his staff. They allow you to bring in your own food and water, they have complimentary sunscreen and umbrellas, and a cute gift shop. We highly recommend Iguanaland to adults and children alike! The experience is worth more than the ticket price. You will not be disappointed here!

We came on a rainy day this week yet we were still provided the best experience. There were so many snakes, monitors, turtles, and iguanas to see. Joe is so passionate about what he does and you can see it. He spent a lot of time with my husband and I educating us on reptiles, answering questions, and showing us some of the reptiles. I really enjoyed meeting Philly and learning about him as well. The female at the front was very friendly and accommodating as well. It was also so nice to see the reptiles living quarters to be so clean and appropriate. I would highly recommend. This place is even better than Naples zoo in my opinion!

We've been to Iguanaland many times. The animals are so well cared for and the enclosures are fantastic!! In addition, the owner, Ty Park, and his staff are wonderful. This time our son, who has autism, was with us and we paid for animal interactions. It was $15/pp for 30 minutes. Great deal!! The staff member that took us around the park was DJ. DJ was fantastic with us and especially with our son. We had close up and personal interactions with an Aldapbra Tortoise, a Cuban Rock Iguana, a Rhino Iguana, and a Camien Lizard. My son loved his time with each animal and learned so much about them and the area in the world from which they came. What a wonderful day!! I highly recommend this facility to anyone with sensory kiddos or adults. It's not crowed, its wide open, and you can tour the entire facility at your own place... It sure beats the heck out of the lines and chaos of those big theme parks!! Thanks Iguanaland crew~ we'll see you again soon!!
