This place used to be nice. This place is lacking to be kept up. they don't keep it up even though they used our taxes to build it they won't keep it maintained and bullet holes in the sign. grass is growing up on the trails. mosquitoes is ferocious. it's still nice but it just needs up kept. Not shut down. that's what it looks like they're trying to do. That's why three star.

This place is a little diamond in the rough. It's in date City Florida and if you didn't know it was there you would just pass it up. It has cabins to rent beautiful streams to sit and watch the Wild Life deers armadillos snakes alligators but it is very safe. Cabins you can rent really cheap and that are spotless inside.

Our go to park in the area. Been going there for over ten years. Be careful. There are water moccasins, coral snakes and gators everywhere. Very beautiful and peaceful area. Must visit withlacoochee river park when you are there. They have two nice playground, a lookout tower for visitors and many types of camping. You won't be disappointed.

Went for birding, saw some great birds and painted buntings (female in pictures attached, Male was too quick)!!! I walked all trails available, had the best luck crossing the bridge on the way to the sinkhole. The boardwalk is nice, but you wont see many birds along there - it is too dense. Other good spot is just to the right of the tortoise and opossum, by the feeders. Not much luck at the bird blind.

Thought this would be a fun place to hike, but there were people hunting deer near the hiking trail. I wasn't wearing orange and didn't feel like getting shot, so I went somewhere else. It's really strange that they would allow hunting and hiking in the same place, assuming that they were legally hunting in the first place.
