Wangunk Meadows Wildlife Management Area

My dog Astro and I have hunted pheasant here for years great place for a upland bird hunting.

Great little fielded area to take the dogs to walk around. It does get stocked with pheasants by the state of Connecticut for hunters so if you do go in season, it is a good idea to wear orange!

Great place to go hunting .. I've seen people go for a walk or take there dog on trails . Wangunk stock phasants , Theres Corn field ,woods, and swamp around.

I enjoy hiking along the Connecticut River in the area. Occasionally parts of the area has standing water as well as ruts in some parts of the trail.
