Sundance Trail Guest Ranch

Truly Truly amazing experience for me and my friend. Not only was the staff friendly but I felt welcomed from the minute we went in. Everything was well set and well cleaned , no complaints from us ! And the views were amazing , I would love to ride Gus again he’s my favorite horse.. so very friendly and cuddly. I recommend this place for people who have never rode horses before !!

Was very lucky to find a dude ranch on short notice with 1/2 week availability that matched my trip. This place is very special. Although small and rustic, then staff and overall experience was incredible. I was solo for this trip and have a great time with the families that were there. The staff and experience were incredible. This is not a posh place, so set expectations. If you are looking for a wonderful peaceful stay with excellent riding, caring staff that tried to accommodate all guests, and lots of other activities (particularly for kids), this is the place to go. Being I was there for only a half week, I didn't think I'd be able to do a long ride on the last half day. The lead wrangler worked some magic and made it happen. I was able to do a long 5 hour ride on my last day that had me out of there in time for my drive to my next destination. Rock climbing was my second favorite activity next to riding. Highly recommended.

We had a great time on the trail ride. Sundance did a really good job pairing the horses up with the riders. My daughters are 11 and 8. The ride was easy for them and they really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone!

I found STR on Chewy after googling dog friendly dude ranch, I was driving in from NC and had family and friends flying in. The number of guest and days changed multiple times; Sarah in booking was always so amazing and accommodating. The cabins far exceeded my expectations and all the common spaces stayed meticulous despite it being dog friendly. I was shocked at how dog friendly! I was the only guest with dogs (I have 3) but the owners and wranglers have few and were so great with letting my dogs get introduced at their pace. The barn manager, Remy was past phenomenal, and after assessing my dogs let them go on the trail rides (they go all the time at home but didn’t expect this happen at a guest ranch). You definitely won’t go hungry here, the food is insanely delicious and plentiful. My group really enjoyed the rec room and all the scenic hiking. We did come before the busy season,(so I’m not sure it’s always this way) I loved the relaxed atmosphere and flexibility. 10 out of 10 recommend!

We spent Christmas week here. We rode horses into the mountains every day. Fred is an amazing chef. The facilities were wonderful, comfortable, and clean. Pet friendly…our dog came along and enjoyed the trail rides with family.
