Z Ranch Farmstay

I can’t express enough how incredible Z ranch is and especially Mazie as it relates to horseback riding lessons and trail rides. I got 5 session training package for my 4 year old son because he loves horses. Mazie is so patient and great with kids. All the horses are incredibly calm and sweet. My wife and son will be doing trail rides next time with Mazie and as soon as my youngest daughter is old enough I will be scheduling more sessions with Mazie and Z ranch so if your looking for trail rides or horseback training lessons nobody will best Z ranch!!!

The most incredible experience we ever had. My 7 years old niece had the greatest time, surrounded by horses, Alpacas, chickens running free, friendly dog and angry goose 🪿 🤣. The house was cozy and super clean. The kitchen was modern and large , the dining table created this truly ranch family feel. Alice ,the host , was very accommodating and responding immediately to email. We've got some fresh eggs and fed animals together with the caretaker. It was an unforgettable experience, and we absolutely want to go back again soon.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here with my daughter and grandchildren. Our 2 bedroom accommodation was perfect, well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The animals were the highlights for the grandchildren. The ranch hands were super friendly and amazing with the kids. James was everyone's favorite. Will definitely return. Thanks Alice!

Fell in love with this ranch and it's animals. The "bunkhouse" was the perfect accommodation. Very clean and comfy with all the amenities. Nestled among vineyards, this working ranch has horses, a goat, chickens & roosters, a goose, dogs, cats, alpacas, long horn steer and even a zebra. We were given free reign to roam the property and the views were beautiful. We were warned that there might be noises from the animals at night, but we never heard a thing. Slept like a baby. The bed was very comfortable and everything smelled fresh and clean. They thought of everything...even a complimentary bottle of wine. The little micro kitchen was adorable with matching mini-fridge, microwave and the cutest toaster/oven/coffee maker/griddle combo. They supplied wine glasses, cups, dishwashing soap/sponge, silverware, etc. There was also extra pillows & blankets, an iron/ironing board, and a bed tray. TV, fireplace, a small bistro table inside and one outside along with a fire pit/bbq grill. And the bathroom...the cutest dang tub/shower, and again extra towels, soaps/shampoo/conditioner, and hair dryer. Can't wait to return.

We stayed at Z Ranch for 3 days w/ my husband & 14 year old daughter. We stayed in the farmhouse. It was very comfortable, well appointed & plenty of space to spread out. WiFi worked great too. LOCATION was perfect for those looking to find great restaurants, easily check out wineries in Paso & to visit SLO. We road horses with the owner’s daughter Maizey that was such a highlight & the farm is located within a beautiful wine vine setting. Now to the best part… the animals! Horses, chickens, a goose, cats, dogs, cows, llamas and a zebra. If you like animals, if you like nature, if you love quiet & a rustic setting, this is your spot. We will return. We will return w/ friends. Owner Alice was easy to work with & communication was great.
