Ricochet Ridge Ranch

We absolutely LOVED this place! It's a hidden gem in Ft. Bragg, with the sweetest, most gentle horses and the kindest owners. My group booked a private 3-person beach ride, and it was the perfect amount of time for us beginners. We trotted across the street to MacKerricher State Park, where we spotted some seals lounging on the rocks and enjoyed the most breathtaking views. Kyle was super friendly, and while the ride wasn't a formal lesson, Russ and Kyle shared some great tips on riding and made sure we had the best experience possible. We can’t wait to ride again with these awesome, kind-hearted cowboys! 🐴🌊

Russ is an amazing tour guide who provides exceptional knowledge & knows his horses well. My horse Danny likes to try to be the leader but with Russ telling the tips & tricks beforehand, Danny was very fun to ride & my husband & i had a wonderful 1 hour beach ride! If you love horses & love to ride i highly recommend Ricochet Ranch! The horses are so beautiful & friendly! i’m definitely coming back to take a trip through the Redwoods!! ❤️

Peaceful and Memorable First Horseback Ride Our family had our first-ever horseback riding experience, and it was truly one to remember! We did the morning ride, which was incredibly peaceful and a perfect way to start the day. The scenery was beautiful, and the entire experience felt calm and comfortable, even for us as total beginners. The family who guided us was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made us feel at ease and took the time to explain everything, which helped us feel confident and safe throughout the ride. The horses were so well taken care of and had such sweet, gentle personalities. It was easy to see they’re loved and respected by their caretakers. Such a fun and rewarding activity for both adults and kids. We’re so glad we did it and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting, especially if it’s your first time riding!

This was such a wonderful ride! The guide and horses were absolutely brilliant! We opted for the 2 hour beach ride and had so much fun on the trails and a small stretch of beach. We plan on trying the redwood ride next time! Thank you so much for taking photos and for the wonderful ride!

I had a fantastic ride with Russ.He is extremely thorough in his instructions and as always safety first! It’s a short ride through a little bit of wooded area and then out into the fields and then onto the beach. It’s truly a beautiful setting. Don’t miss the opportunity to grab a ride with this outfit.
