I spent 3 days at Bar SZ with my grandaughter who is 7 yrs old. We wanted to visit Pinnacle National Park. The ranch is only 15! Minutes away. What a treat for us. We were only 2 people so we stayed in the RV on the property but there are 2 fabulous homes as well. We had such a genuine experience hard to get these days. Feeding rabbits, horses, riding for the first time, goats , cows and so much more. An experience of a lifetime.
We stayed for two nights in the log cabin, and we fell in love with this piece of paradise. It’s remote, far away from any towns, but close to pinnacles. Our kids rode horses in the morning and joined the animal feeding at 4pm, and they enjoyed every minute of it! Michelle and Tim are super nice, accommodating and easy to work with. They definitely did their best to make sure we had a peasant and memorable stay. They are working so hard to make this breathtaking place keep going. Much respect ❤️ please don’t hesitate if you need a place to stay in the area!
Camped for 2 nights at campsite 1 because the Pinnacles campground was full. I am so happy that we stayed here instead of the park! The communal kitchen is really nice because it is an easy place to cook meals and wash dishes. It's also a nice place to get to know your fellow campers! I also liked that there are only a few camp sites because it never felt crowded! Even though you're on a ranch, you still have privacy and can come and go as you please. After hiking in the park, my friend and I came back to camp and went to cool off at the creek just across from the campsite because it was hot (we stayed in early June). There is a nice area to sit in the shade by the creek just off the roadside. Tim and the rest of the team are super nice and helpful! They made sure we felt right at home. We got to see some of the animals on the ranch and got to meet the local dogs and cat, Riley. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Pinnacles!
We stayed 3 nights at the log cabin, it's beautiful, clean and spacious for everyone. The surroundings were serene with sounds of only sheep and cows distantly. Hosts were gracious. The kitchen was well stocked for supplies. The arena ride taught us more than we anticipated. The ranch was big enough that we did 2 trail rides and went different trails. We learned a lot about the daily operations of the ranch during animal feeding. Pinnacles National Park was nearby so we went hiking several times during our stay. A family owned ranch that gave us an authentic experience of a rancher's life
The hospitality at the Bar SZ Ranch is off the charts, amazing. My husband and I stayed in the RV which was comfortable with all the basics and topped off with a dozen farm fresh eggs! We enjoyed star gazing with zero light pollution and an amazing view of the Milky Way. After talking to Michelle and Tim and seeing how well they care for all of their animals, I decided to board my mare at their facility for extended training and trail work. We also got to tour the log cabin and ranch house which are both in a picturesque setting and are nicely appointed. We are already planning our next visit!
