Showed up on a Monday at 9:30am. Open sign and board on the street said open. Door was locked so we knocked a few times and waited 10 min. Then called the number on the door and let it ring 20-30 times with no answer. Waited another 10 min and no one showed up. We left as we were heading home to Los Angeles. They lost a decent sale. We wanted 3-4 tritips, a couple of dozen burgers, 4-5 lbs of skirt steak and different cheeses. And anything else that might have caught our eye. Such a shame.
What a great place to buy local! Look for the grey-blue building right along Northern; that's where you'll find their shop. When we visited, they had several freezers packed with various cuts of beef and pig (no fresh on offer) plus a couple fridges with local cheese. Some local honey was out for sale, too.
Had a wonderful time touring the farm with our homeschool group. The staff was friendly and Travis, our tour guide, did a great job explaining farm details to our group. We took home some delicious meats and cheeses from the store.. Would love to visit again! Thank you Rovey farms for hosting our group!
Great selection of meat and decent prices. I would recommend all carnivores try it at least once if you like American wagyu. I've purchased rack of lamb, ribeye, new York strip and sausages. Thumbs up!!
I used to do a decent amount of service work on the corral cooling systems for them. Friendly owner, family and management. Have been producing quality milk for many years. One of the last few dairies in that area. Most others have been pushed out by progress(homes and shopping centers). Derek @ Blue Cow Service.
